the trend of designing simple and versatile solutions, HARFANG
is proud to introduce the QuickTrace Micro-Encoder. The
QuickTrace snaps onto Detachable Active Array Heads (DAAH) and
provides a precise position signal. The QuickTrace µEncoder will
outlive any optical encoder. Unlike these, the QuickTrace
µEncoder is not afraid of sand, dust or water! The precision you
need, wherever and whenever you need it.
What is the QuickTrace? The QuickTrace is a 1 axis
micro-encoder designed to avoid any hassle on the field with
screws and screwdriver. Using a snap-on clip concept, the user
only needs his fingers to quickly insert any DAAH probes into
the QuickTrace clip. Featuring a high linear resolution, the
QuickTrace is the perfect tool for manual inspection requiring
position encoding. Embedded into a rugged anodized aluminium
case, the QuickTrace µEncoder is ready for the toughest
environments with an IP67 protection against fine dust and
high-pressure water jets.
Advantages of the QuickTrace The QuickTrace concept solves
most of the issues with manual position encoding for phased
array probes:
- Provides position information in ultrasound views like
B/C-scan.
- Very quick installation on the probe, thanks to the
snap-on clip.
- Ergonomical design that fits naturally in palm without
obstruction.
- Easiness of movement on inspected components because the
wheel and encoder are perfectly aligned with the L-scan or
S-scan azimuthal axis. No sticky effect or annoying drift.
- User can install either rubber tire or magnetic wheel.
- No slipping thanks to the adjustable spring-loaded
mechanism.
Technology The QuickTrace is entirely potted in epoxy to
ensure a complete protection against water, dust or any harsh
environnement (IP67 protection). Besides, the QuickTrace is
designed to never clog up. Its clip is easily interchangeable
and can be customized to suit any phased array probes. Suitable
for HARFANG’s X-32, the QuickTrace is also
compatible with all major instruments
